- Call 108 immediately. Never drive the patient yourself.
- Sit the person down, leaning back, knees bent. Loosen tight clothing.
- If conscious, above 18 and not allergic, give one plain aspirin to chew slowly.
- Note the time symptoms started and keep them calm and still.
- If breathing stops, start chest compressions — push hard and fast in the centre of the chest, about twice a second.
Never do this
- Do not give food or water
- Do not let them walk or climb stairs
